Believe it or not we accidentally invented the process for making our paint and coating additives. These additives are so good at thermal insulating that they posses fire retardant capabilities. Cool It was originally a heating and air conditioning service company. One day in 1959, a client of ours had a kitchen fire and when the roof collapsed on top of the flames our customized insulating material smothered the fire by itself.  The client and fire department were amazed.

A light bulb went off in our heads. What if there was a way of adding these special components to paints. Could this provide a measure of protection not available anywhere else? After years of experimenting we perfected several successful combinations. Initially to benefit was paint that while unattractive and lumpy for interior use, was exceptional for exterior stucco and roofs. In 1982 we had Lockheed test our materials and to their amazement the product was the strongest material they had ever tested. They conducted a 2 hour test at 1,000 degrees without failure.

We have refined our product to mix with most any interior or exterior water based paint. We could have marketed this as an expensive paint, but our company mission statement is to share this product and to make it affordable to anyone interested in the numerous benefits.

We are marketing this as a thermal insulating additive for paint and coating. Because of our marketing plans we cannot control the inclusion of our product into product. When our directions are followed correctly we have multiple tests showing a flame resistant rating of A+ 0-5. Clients have saved on their utility bills from 28% to 44%. We also have certified painters who are authorized to apply our products professionally. These partners are trained on all application procedures and their work will be audited by us at Cool It.

Our products work in both hot and cold climates. We provide products that are non combustible, water proof, and have been shown to inhibit both mold and termites
